Michael P. Greenberg’s roots in the construction industry sprouted in the 1950’s when the Greenberg family purchased a lumber yard in Phoenix, AZ called Dooley’s where he worked in the family business through his high school and college years. In 1964 Mike became one of the early graduates of Arizona State University’s Construction Management program.
Prior to founding Greenberg Construction in 1970, Mike worked his way up the ranks as an estimator and project manager for a couple large general contractors in Arizona and Texas. During the early years of his career he traveled extensively and developed a keen interest in tough projects in even tougher to reach locations.
Like all entrepreneurs he wanted to start his own business.
Greenberg Construction’s first project was a 15,000 square foot office building in Phoenix, AZ yet the outer reaches beckoned his talents. Greenberg Construction soon found one of its niches building federal and tribal projects such as schools and housing on Indian Reservations in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
Throughout the decades; 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, 2000’s, and now the 2010’s, Greenberg Construction has continued to grow and become recognized as a quality General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design-Build firm. The success and longevity of the company is a tribute to the legacy built by Mike Greenberg.
Today, Greenberg Construction is lead by Donald Taylor who remains focused on servicing Greenberg’s established niches as well as expanding the firm into additional market segments.
